Sweet Creek Falls
It’s been hot here. Really hot here in Oregon, and today it decided to finally cool down a little. The breeze is back and the sticky humidity is less and the temperature has dropped to tolerable. This weekend Anthony and I decided to go for a hike to get away from the heat.
The coast is always much cooler here so we headed towards Florence, OR to hike the Sweet Creek trail. It was so beautiful! Hiking here has been so different than any other place I’ve lived. Everything is so green, and the moss is amazing. Plus you can get to some sort of body of water very easily. Here are a bunch of pictures from the hike. (Click on the photo for a larger view)
It was really beautiful. Unfortunatly as we got back to the car we discovered that my car had been broken into. They had stolen my purse out of the trunk, so the last few days have been a little crazy. I’ve almost gotten everything settled, but yesterday was a day full of long and tedious errands. Even with the crappy car breakage, I highly recommend this hike. Just don’t leave any valuables in the car.

Sweet Creek Falls Hike
I don’t believe this. We did this hike on Saturday. And when we were getting ready to leave, there was a very creepy guy in the parking lot. We discussed how uncomfortable he made us.
Man, I wish I had written down his license and info. This is just too weird.
Anyway, see you on Thursday. I have a little surprise for you since you had such a bad week.
That looks and sounds like a beautiful hike. It’s very cool that you are able to do that. I am sorry to hear about your break-in.
Your pictures are very beautiful, thanks so much for sharing. I’m so sorry to hear about your purse being stolen though. How terrible. I know what a pain it is trying to get everything straightened our and replaced.
Thanks for sharing the neat photos, it really does look to be a beautiful spot. I’m glad to see that you guys are surviving the heat, I don’t think they’re used to it up there!
Too bad about the theft.

It was a very beautiful hike. Thanks for all the comforting comments.
Kim, I excited about coffee tomorrow and now I’m excited about a surprise. I may have a little something for you too. ;)
Gorgeous place, Jodie! Thank you!
And are those Tevas I see you wearing? Are they not The Greatest Shoes Ever?
You had a beautiful hike, too bad it had to end so badly! Unfortunately cars being broken to while people are hiking is happening more and more. Someone on a Letterboxing list was talking about the statistics a few months ago.
Thanks for the hiking trail recommendation, Jodie – and the warning about the insecure parking lot! Nice photos!

Sara, I do love my Tevas! Someday I plan on getting some Chacos too. I wear my tevas everyday during the summer and they are well loved.
Irie, A fellow Eugene knit blogger! It’s always good to find the bloggers in the local area.
I think I’ve almost gotten everything sorted out from the missing purse. I even had to go get new Yarn Harlot tickets. Luckly I could still get a few.
