Verdaia

January 23, 2010

I’ve come up with a name for my shawl, and I have more photos to show off!

That’s the full width of the shawl.  It’s 50 inches wide and 20 inches in the center.  It’s a great size for a quick knit and an unfussy wrap.

We took the photos at the Chinese Garden in Portland, OR.  It is amazing there.  It’s right in the middle of the city, but while you’re in the garden it feels so serene.  Then you look up, see sky scrapers and realize “Wow, I’m in the middle of a bustling city!”

The pattern is currently being test knit by TheBon and GeekKnitter (can’t thank them enough!), and the pattern should be available either February or March 2010.  Check out the ravelry link for more info!

ETA: The pattern is now up!  You can buy the pattern here:

Thanks!

I’m having great fun with this… except for the part yesterday afternoon when I realized I’d forgotten some purls.

    Crochet hook to the rescue!
