Beginning the Baby Parade

March 24, 2010

So it seems I must have hit the age where everyone is having babies.  Almost every month this summer I have at least one baby I know coming into the world.  The good news is it’s really got me thinking about a lot of creative designs.  The bad news is everyone keeps asking if I’ll be next.  (Yes someday, but no not now.)

One of the unknown benefits of getting married is that I became an Auntie.  After the wedding was done, I got to plotting what knitted thing I could make my new nephew Jonathan.  He was born three months before our wedding and I had to make the executive decision to wait for baby knitting until after the wedding.

Apparently I put it up on ravelry, but I forgot to blog about it.  As you can tell, I’ll be doing a little bit of catch up over the next few days.

Baby Sweater

I knit up a Super-Natural Stripes by Fawn Pea.  Really cute pattern, super easy, and lots of fun to knit.

Super-Natural Stripes Baby

I knit it mostly out of Cotton Fleece with a little Elsebeth Lavold Cable Cotton as the yellow. I love using the one fun large button at the top. Cardigans are so great.

Be sure, this is just the beginning of a ton of baby projects to come.

I really like the simplicity of pattern and use of color. I like designing my own projects and think we might have very close knitting style.
