End of Season Harvest

October 23, 2009

Back in May, I was so excited about my new garden beds, that I actually posted about them!  I do remember taking photos throughout the garden season, basking in the hugeness of the plants we had started from seed, but our photos are not the most organized right now.  So instead I have some tomato photos from the end of the harvest.

Butt Tomato

We dried so many of these guys in our new dehydrator!  We have several jars full ready for pizzas, pastas, and bread for the rest of the year.  The funny thing is neither Anthony or I really eat these guys raw.  We love them for salsa, pasta sauce and dried.

We’ve made our way through most of our harvest now, only a few things left to eat up and can.  Hopefully next year I’ll be able to share more of the fine details of what we grow, but for this year, only photos of these red beauties.

I love the butt tomato! And it looks like your dehydrator is an excalibur? That’s some serious dehydrating! Whee!
