FO: Leaf Lace Shawl
My latest obsession has been lace! Everything lace! I have hardly knit any socks, have only barely touched a few sweaters, and look at my stash with only potential for scarves and shawls with pretty lace patterns. I’ve also been fine tuning my ability to spin a very fine lace weight.
So as I try to cast on for twenty new lace projects, I realized I needed something now. It’s getting cold out there, and if my lace yarn is still on the wheel, how am I supposed to stay warm!
That’s when I realized that I had a finished lace shawl, just waiting to be blocked. Most of you probably don’t remember seeing this before because I last posted about it in May 2007!
Blocked on the sewing board.
Pointy, pointy ends!
Leaves! Appropriate for fall right?
This is a fiber trends pattern (ravelry here). Very easy lace pattern. I included beads on the edging, which I really like having in lace because it gives a little heft to the edge.
Overall, this pattern was a great success, and now I have a very wearable shawl. Now back to the many lace projects on the needles.
Hi Jodie,
Came over here from your invite from Facebook. Loved the shawl when you had it on at lessons a couple of weeks ago. Soo pretty! I always like to see if you are wearing something you have knitted when we come for lessons!
Beautiful!
