Merino Tencel, Yum
I splurged. Well, it actually wasn’t a big splurge because it was an amazing price. See, the thing about selling on Etsy, is you constantly see wonderful beautiful things that want to come home with you. I couldn’t resist.
Could you?
I carefully pre-drafted because I wanted to get as close to lace weight as possible.
Something about this fiber demanded being documented. I carefully took pictures at each step. Here my singles are all wound up, and about to be plyed on itself, so none of it is wasted.
I ended up with about 250 yards of fingering/sock weight yarn. Not quite as thin as I wanted, but the thinnest I’ve spun yet. I got the fiber at Spincerely Yours. I’ve been reading Tamara’s blog for awhile. Go check it out. Thanks for the wonderful fiber Tamara.
I love merino/tencel blends! So soft and shiny! I have some in pinks and browns that I eventually want to spin for a stole of some sort. Yours looks beautiful!
That’s so beautiful Jodie.
So visit my blog and see what we brought home yesterday. We’ll have to arrange a pup play date.
Coffee sometime soon?
Now that is some gorgeousness!
so soo beautiful!
J–I have a dissertation defense tomorrow, next week some time?
