I saw this article on Irie’s blog. Offering wellness programs through the work place makes a lot of sense. The whole idea that it’s possible to cut down insurance costs by having healthy employies means smart buisness. Check it out and maybe suggest it to you boss next time you get a chance.

Strings and Yarn 
My company hired a Wellness Coordinator about a year ago. She puts together all different types of programs. For example in October there will be Walktober Fest. They are giving us pedometers and a log. If you complete your log, you are elligible to enter a drawing for gift certificate. It’s pretty nice to have a program like this on site. Then again, I work for a health insurance company.
I probably won’t ever have something like this being self employed. However, I really think it’s good that places are doing this. It makes me hopeful that if health insurance companies are doing it, that they would suggest it to other places.
