Dyed Goodies
I don’t have any finished knitting projects, but last wed I worked hard at dyeing. I spent most of the day playing with color and I was really happy with how things turned out.
First, I have my laceweight. I got this from Knitpicks a while back and I finally found a colorway I would really like to use. I’m calling this Forest Path. Not very original, but it was what I was thinking of when I put the colors together. The olive green was actually made with sunny yellow and black. That was a tip from Janis at Dyelots.
This is some sock yarn in the same colorway. I got this yarn at the Black Sheep Gathering. I was a little worried because it was so thin, but after I dyed it the yarn gained some loft. I should have enough yarn for two more pairs of socks.
This is charcoal grey dk weight yarn that I bought for a cropped cardigan that I’m going to design. I think I’m going to offer the pattern up here. I know the colors for this are not very interesting, but it has to be something that’ll match almost everything in my wardrobe. The two on the left are plain black, the others have small spots of plum, purple and blue on them. After I dyed it, I realized that this was how the fleece I just spun was supposed to turn out.
I hope you are finding my blog easy to navigate now I moved. There will be changes in the next few weeks. Sorry about the header not matching at all right now. I really do have a decent sense of color, I swear. Thanks for moving over with me!
