Sock Yarn Waiting
June 19, 2006
I only have to wait two more days until I cast on some socks. It’s been hard to resist, but I’ve been successful. I have several wonderful sock yarns waiting to be knit. I have some knitpicks Memories in Cape Cod, three balls of Regia Color Surf (each different for a different pair), and two balls of Regia Short Color (makes one pair). I have 5 pairs of socks to make! What am I waiting for, you ask? The Summer of Socks. It officially starts on Wed, and I want to enter the most socks contest. I hope it won’t distract me too much from my lace.
P.S. I’d love suggestions for good sock patterns. Let me know.

Nice blog! Here’s one of my favorite sock patterns, Cascading Leaves, a rib-lace pattern that is perfect for Socks That Rock (did you buy any at the Black Sheep?):

I’m not sure, you might have to join the TownsendSocksKnitAlong yahoo group, which is really easy to do. (But e-mail me if you have any problems.) The group’s files are full of really good sock patterns, all free.
I used to live in Eugene! But now I’m in Virginia part-time, and on the Oregon coast the rest of the time.
I have joined the TownsendSocks Group on Yahoo. I think I originally joined for that pattern, but I haven’t used it yet. Now that it’s been recommended I’ll try it out for sure. Thanks for stopping by KarenK, hope to see you around again. :)
