Designing Knitwear
June 17, 2006
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the amount of knitting stuff out there? I did for the first time a few days ago. It’s not so much as a knitter, but as a knit designer. I checked out my first Interweave Knits from the library. (I know, I’m very behind the times.) The designs in there are awesome! I’m seriously considering getting a subscription. I also saw this post. I can only hope to design such beautiful knitwear someday. To know the stitches so well that they shape and flater the figure. Hmmm…. Time to get back to the notebook.

It can be intimidating. I design my own pattern quite often, but not to the complicated level of Interweave, or Eunny. I think my main thing is knitting to enjoy the process and/or the actual finished object. :)
Yeah, that’s good advice. I’m going to just continue with my humble efforts and try to improve along the way. I just got a subscription to Interweave Knits though so that I can be inspired constantly, plus all the cool patterns.
