Amazing Lace 2006

May 26, 2006

See the little Amazing Lace button on my side bar? That’s because I’m part of a team. A lace making team. It’s just me, my needles and my pattern and we are going to make to the finish. Not to mention I have two more skeins of dye my own lace weight on the way. I am unstoppable!

Okay, I know it’s super cheesy, but I think it’ll be a great way to do my lace project. If I get stuck I’ll be with plenty of other lace crazies to help me along the way. If you want to sign up, hit the button and go because sign ups end on Memorial Day (May 29th).

Indeed, I’m one of those “lace crazies”! I too think it’ll be a good way to accomplish a complicated lace project for the summer. (That, and the fact that I’d love to have a lace stole/shawl for a wedding I’m attending in June!)

And thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Unfortunately, I am so *not* an accomplished lace knitter but I’ve done the “leaf lace” scarf from Scarf Style, a (yes, only one) “lacy” sock named Friday Harbour Socks from Nancy Bush’s Knitting on the Road and I’m currently working on Orangina, so I hope those projects count as good practice.

With all the other expert knitters out there, I’m sure we’ll manage to get through it all together! Good luck– :)

I always wondered about the leaf lace scarf from Scarf Style. I thought that the picture didn’t show enough of the scarf to really know if it was worth knitting. How did it turn out?

I saw your work on Orangia too. That’s such a great top. And yours is fabulous.
