First Knitting Design
April 16, 2006
I’m so excited! I’ve submitted my first knitting design to Knitty online magazine! I can’t give very many details on it right now, but I have officially become a knitting designer. I also have several other designs/patterns in the making right now, so there will be more coming.
So now I just have to wait. They said that if I don’t hear from them that means it’s being considered for the Summer issue of Knitty. So cross your fingers and hope I don’t hear anything for a little while.

Jodie..congrats on yoru knitty submission. Can’t wait and see it!
And orifice hook is used with a spinning wheel…you use it to pull the fiber from the bobbin through the orifice so you can then spin it. We should get together sometime and I’ll show you!
I can’t wait to see it too. So far so good, haven’t heard anything. Although that doesn’t mean much. I wonder how long it takes for them to decide.
Did you get one of those beautiful orifice hooks? I would love to get together sometime and talk fiber. Always my idea of a fun time.
I’m also waiting to hear from knitty! Is it pathetic that I’m googling “pattern submitted knitty” to see if anyone else has heard yet? *blush*
