Kepler Knitting Sweater

February 3, 2006

I’ve started some new knitting. I’ve also finished several projects, but I can’t post those until they have been sent off and received by the appropriate people. My mom bought me some yarn while I was in Colorado at the Green Valley Weavers Supply. I’m knitting the Kepler Sweater. The sweater was designed by Fathom/Emily and you can get the pattern at her blog. There is also a knitalong if you are interested in joining. Here’s my progress;

I’ve always liked Celtic knot work. I even considered getting a knot work tattoo for a long time, but could never find the right design. Knot work is a very powerful artwork for me and I’m so glad I found this pattern. This section will belong to the sleeve edge when it’s done. I know it’s not much, but I’m so excited about it that I had to post it. I’m on my way to becoming the cable queen!

    I didn’t even think about it for a scarf. I’m kind of funny about scarves having to be the same on the front and back. It comes from my crocheting roots. I’ve finished this section and will be starting the next one soon. I kind of lost steam after having to fix a few mistakes.
