Knitter’s Kove Colorado Springs, CO

January 17, 2006

Of course while I was visiting my parents in Colorado, I had to go to a few yarn shops and check them out. Even though I’ve been a yarn addict for many years, it wasn’t until recently that I’ve become a slightly more snobby yarn addict. Trust me, I have plenty of Red Heart in the closet, but its not what I’ll be investing in now that I’ve been exposed to the proper yarn store.

While in Colorado I went to a nice shop called Knitter’s Kove. They had tons of selection, and some very nice yarns. I liked that they carried some very large skeins of yarn too. I don’t know about you, but when I am buying supplies for a sweater it is disheartening when the sweater requires 10 skeins at 5 bucks a pop. I just can’t spend that much.

The selection was nicely organized between novelty yarns, bulky weight, worsted, etc. I ended up buying my Mom two skeins for her first crocheted scarf. I taught her while I was there as part of her Christmas present.

If you’re in the old CO Springs, this would be a great place to stop by.
