Harry Potter PodCasts

If you don’t realize it yet, I’m a total geek for many many reasons. One of the many is Harry Potter. With the arrival of the new book, the new movie, and my new ipod I have started getting into the world of podcasts. Of course I had to start listening to the Harry Potter casts.

There are two main fan sites (which is good because the book and movie sites are not that exciting) which are Leaky Cauldron and Mugglenet. Each episode is about an hour long and they are so closely related that they often do episodes together.

If your a Potter fan with a busy life and can’t listen to both, I would opt for the Leaky Cauldron first. The Leaky Cauldron (Potter cast) actually has organized segments and sticks to them through the show. The Mugglenet cast (Muggle cast) is often unorganized and can seem like a group of goofy high school boys entertaining their own inside jokes. While this can occasionally provide a few good laughs, they often just cause a frustrations.

Right now I’ve been listening to both, especially since they have been doing lots of special things for the movie. If I had to choose I would have to pick Potter cast.

I haven’t roamed around the sites enough to decide which site I really like, only listened to the podcasts.
